Open your event to Ambassadors
For anyone who wants to fill the room through word of mouth.
Ambassadors are people who tell their network about your event with a personal code. Whoever buys with the code gets a discount, and the Ambassador earns a share on every ticket. No fixed costs, no advertising to pay upfront: you only spend when you sell.
Before you start you'll need: payments set up and at least one paid ticket.
- Open the event dashboard and, in the Promotion block, choose Ambassadors.
- In the Tickets tab switch on Enable Ambassadors on the tickets you want promoted.
- Choose the discount for buyers (at least €1 per ticket, £1 in the UK) and the Ambassador's share. Next to it you see straight away what the buyer pays, what goes to the Ambassador and what's left for you. If you like, set a limit on tickets.
- In the Ambassadors tab approve the applications that come in, or invite people from your community by email.
- Follow each Ambassador's sales day by day. You can pause or close a promotion whenever you like.
- After the event, leave a rating.
Good to know
- Free public events are open to Ambassadors on their own: they can promote them straight away, at no cost to you and without you approving anyone. In the Ambassadors tab you see who's promoting them and how many people they bring, and you can switch the opening off or suspend anyone you like.
- You don't have to pay anyone: we take the share from each sale and pay it to the Ambassador 7 days after the event (15 for their first 3 events).
- If you refund a ticket before the payout, that ticket's share comes back to you; after the payout it stays with the Ambassador.
- Your first Ambassadors are often people you already have: members, students, loyal customers. Invite them yourself.
