1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy is provided pursuant to Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC and the national provisions implementing it and, where applicable, regulation 6 of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, and supplements the Privacy Notice.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the user's device; other local storage technologies of the browser (such as sessionStorage) are treated in the same way and are equally covered by this policy.
2. Technologies used by Smappo
Smappo uses only technical cookies and technologies which are strictly necessary to provide the service expressly requested by the user. No profiling cookies, and no third-party advertising or analytics cookies, are used. The user's consent is not required for the placement of technical technologies.
(a) smappo_session – technical session cookie maintaining authentication to the account; duration: one hour.
(b) smappo_locale – technical functionality cookie storing the chosen language; duration: one year.
(c) smappo_visitor – random browser identifier, not associated with the account or with identifying data, used to temporarily reserve places while a registration is being completed; duration: thirty days. Within the widget embedded on third-party websites, the same identifier is kept in the browser's sessionStorage for the lifetime of the tab only.
(d) smappo_checkin – technical cookie maintaining the session of door staff authenticated by means of a code provided by the organiser; duration: eighteen hours.
(e) smappo_admin_session and smappo_admin_pending – technical cookies used exclusively in the console reserved to Smappo staff; duration: one hour and ten minutes respectively.
(f) smappo_campaign – identifier of the campaign contained in the link included in a Smappo communication, kept in the browser's sessionStorage for the lifetime of the tab only in order to associate any registration with the originating campaign.
3. Third-party technologies: payments
The payment form is provided by Stripe, which may place its own cookies and similar technologies necessary for fraud prevention and the security of payment transactions, in accordance with its cookie policy available at stripe.com/cookies-policy. Such technologies are placed only at the time of payment.
4. Managing cookies
The user may delete or block cookies at any time through the browser settings. Disabling technical technologies may prevent or impair the operation of certain features of the Platform, such as authentication or the reservation of places.
