Fees, sales and transfers
For anyone selling tickets who wants to know how much they keep.
On free events you pay nothing. On paid tickets there are two small fees, Smappo's and Stripe's, only when you sell. Fees can vary from country to country: the Pricing page has an example.
Who pays the fees? You choose, ticket by ticket.
- I do: buyers pay just the ticket price, and you receive the price minus the fees.
- The buyer does: the fees are added to the price, which is shown already complete, and you receive the full price.
On the ticket you see straight away an estimate of what you'll receive.
Where you see the money
- In the event dashboard, the Sales box: takings, fees and your net amount. Every single payment is in Sales › Ticket sales.
- In Sales › Transfers: how much you can transfer now, how much is on its way event by event, and the button for the transfer.
Good to know
- Each event's sales stay in your Stripe account until two days after the event ends, in case of refunds or disputes. Then you transfer them to your bank from Sales › Transfers, whenever you like and as much as you like: the transfer doesn't go by itself and it's free.
- Need it sooner? From Sales › Transfers you can ask Support for an advance (not for your first event). The sales of a cancelled event stay on Stripe to cover refunds and fees.
- If you bring an event forward after selling tickets, the sales stay tied to the date people bought for: if the change is real, ask Support to release them earlier. If refunds are more than what you have on Stripe, Stripe takes the difference from your bank account.
- You sell in your country's currency, the same for all your events: today euros, or pounds in the UK.
- Your accounting documents are in Sales › Documents.
