Share links: find out where your sign-ups come from
For those who promote their event in several places: newsletters, WhatsApp groups, flyers, social media.
Create a link for each place where you promote the event and see how many people each one brings and how many sign up. For flyers there's a QR code to print.
- From the event dashboard, open Share links.
- In “Where will you use it?” type the channel's name, for example “Members' newsletter”, and press Create the link.
- Copy the link and use it in that channel, or download the QR code and print it on the flyer.
- Come back to Share links whenever you like: for each link you see visits, sign-ups and conversion.
Other visits
People who arrive without one of your links show up in Other visits: Smappo recognises Instagram, Facebook, Google, your website and Ambassadors by itself, when the site they left says so. WhatsApp, email apps and QR codes don't: to know how many people they bring, create a link for them.
Good to know
- You can have up to 20 links per event.
- Whoever opens the link sees the usual event page: only you see the link's name.
- A sign-up counts for the link used to open the page the person signed up from.
- If you delete a link, it keeps opening the event and flyers already printed still work, but its visits go to “Other visits”.
- Smappo only counts how many visits come from each channel: no cookies and no data about who visits.
